A good day again. being back on a planned day is so much easier and better for me. It is not that I am on a diet but organized so I stay on task. I did substitute lunch with a friend at Ponchos over my prepared at home lunch. Then at Poncho’s I made good choices all while enjoying lunch.
Bkfst: 2 eggs. Snk: protein chocolate moose (oh so good). Lunch: 1 enchillada, chicken and just a few chips at Poncho’s. Snk: protein drink. Dinner: chicken, some pasta, some carrots. Snk: leftover chicken and pasta. Lots of water
Ex: 20 min stairstepper, weights, 5 miles treadmill
Sunday Nov 11
The last few weeks I have went far away from what I started this program doing. I guess it was some desperation type eating changes. I felt if I eat less, or almost just “fast” the weight will come off so we can make it. I found that a few pounds came off quicker but then back to level. Panic had surely set in. Now I am back to the 6 meals reasonable calories, the “right” foods and it is coming off again. I think the reason it is coming off better now than even in the beginning is I am not cheating at all. We will see. Today I am back to thinking we just might make it.
Bkfst: 2 eggs. Snk: latte. Lunch Chicken dinner. Snk Yogurt/garnola. Dinner: tia noodle combo. Snk: protien chocolate moose. No cheating all day. Lots of water.

Monday Nov 5
Been awhile and as before when I don’t journal the progress is less than it should have been. With only 45 days left I need to not have bad epidsodes, but I did Monday. It still happens when I feel ill or stressed (and not flu) that I tend to over eat. Or at least have something I did not plan to have. Plus, I typically don’t workout.
Bkfst: Yogurt, 1 egg, 1/2c milk, some fruit. Snk: Protein shake. Lunch: Poncho’s soup, some chips. Snk: vegetable juice. Dinner: yogurt, Protein drink, fruit, vegatables: Snk: Ice cream???

Monday Oct 8
Today is for some reason a down day. I felt like I did the work to see more pounds come off, but only 2 for the week. Now I need to refocus and get back at it. For those of you who loose weight or have tried, you know how days like this make you think about quitting. But we must continue. It is really about the long term and setbacks are forgotten when the next success occurs.
Bkfst: eggs, toast. Snk: missed. Lunch buffalo chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes at Poncho’s. Snk: missed. Dinner: 1 pieces Roasted chicken, salad at a meeting. Snk: When I finally got home; 4 pieces of pizza, peach, some pineapple, plum.
Ex: 20 min treadmill AM, 34 minutes treadmill PM.
Wednesday Oct 3
Fast day that at helped not to overeat. Busy at times can be good.
Bkfst: 2 eggs, grapenuts. Snk: Coffee?. Lunch: 2 cookies from Bremer bank, I arrived late at Sertoma Lunch so I missed out. then on the work trail again, so I grabbed 2 cookies. Snk: a mix of Yogurt, cottage cheese, with protein powder, (a healthy snk I have in the work frig.) Dinner: Healthy prepared frozen meal, with some spaghetti my kids had. Snk: protein desert bar, handful of Cheerios. Lots of water again.
Ex: 20 stair-stepper, weights, 20 elliptical.
Tuesday Oct 2
Ok day. Started good, but I am noticing I am having trouble after work and before dinner. Snack on good stuff but still too much. Need to think about exercising in the AM sometimes. Now I mostly do in evening.
Bkfst: 2 eggs toast. Snk Banana, apple. Lunch: Prairie Bay Blacken Chicken and fruit. Snk: peach, DQ Dilly bar, Popcorn at Jackson’s football game. Dinner: Healthy pancakes, sugar free syrup, 2 eggs. Snk: banana
Ex: 30 min treadmill, during Boston Legal.
Monday October 1
Not sure about today. While writing the article, I realized I did the math wrong with 3 pounds a week and it is closer to 4. That 4 pounds is a huge hurtle for each week, but after thinking longer we can do it. It will just mean no or at least a whole lot less cheating, and maybe 2 workouts a day when I can. I did work out twice today. In the AM my normal and then 30 min while watching TV. I have found that at the end of the day a workout while watching TV works good. Today we went on a ropes coarse. I had a great time and a big part was being lighter. If I was still around the 290 mark it would have been very difficult. It is amazing how losing the weight changed so much. I thought it would but it is so nice to see the real results.
Bkfst: Orange Julius protein drink. Snk: missed. Lunch Subway 6″ chicken on wheat. Snk: bag of micro popcorn, and diet coke. Dinner: apple, chicken quesadilla. Snk: protein desert bar and healthy pudding.
Ex: 20 min treadmill, 20 min elipticle, ropes coarse ( almost 2 hours), 32 min treadmill.
Thursday Sept 27
All in all a good day. Stayed on task and worked out. It is amazing but I feel so good after a workout. I think its two parts. First physically, and then emotionally that I did my workout that I need to lose the weight.
Bkfst: 2 eggs toast. Snk: popcorn at Dondelinger’s. Lunch: 1/2 hamburger at poncho’s mashed potatoes and some chips/salsa. Snk: other 1/2 of hamburger. Dinner: peach, “healthy dinner, (pre-made)”, Total cereal. Ev snk: peach and protein desert bar.
Ex: 51 min run, jog, walk treadmill. (watching CSI)
Wednesday Sept 26
United Way Chili cook-off day. 62 different chili’s at the mall to raise money for the United Way. Fun and I was one of many judges. My group tasted (about one spoonful) of 20 chili’s. Not the best thing for a guy trying to lose 100 but a fun day just the same.
Bkfst: 2 eggs toast. Snk: missed as I know about the chili. Lunch: lots of Chili samples. Snk: healthly Check mix. Dinner: hamburger, couscous, and broccoli, and fruit. Ev: snk protein desert bar, and (this was extra, some potato chips). I think the extra was brought on by emotional eating out of an irritation I had during the work day, that was still annoying me.
Ex: end of the day as I was busy. 34min treadmill variable paces. (run, jog, walk, etc)
Tuesday Sept 25
Not a bad day. Started out good but after work I went on an eating binge. Started with healthy and then went to the chips. Way over. Dinner was the same way. 4 tacos instead of 2 I planned on having. Went to watch TV and relax. At one point the “Biggest Loser” show was on and I watched people a lot bigger than me work hard but only loose 2, 3, and 5 pounds for the week. Somehow this got me off the couch and on the treadmill. Went for an hour straight of fast walking and running. That was the most over by far. Felt good and I was less annoyed of my let down from earlier with food. Kind of works into the fitness tip of the week. Had trouble, but didn’t quit. Went back at it with a vengeance and turned out ok.
Bkfst: Oatmeal, toast. Snk: missed. lunch Walleye sandwich and fruit at Rockwoods. Snk: Healthy instant hot-dish thing. (home) peach, baked chips with salsa, and kettle chips. Dinner: 4 tacos. Snk: protein dessert bar.
