Sunday April 29

Another week has passed and I had no loss.  Frustrating but when I look back it was all me.  I was out of my plan and making executions on a regular basis.  Too make me feel better I am surprised I didn’t gain. 

A bigger frustration is that I know what to do and I know it is not that hard, but I still choose to do the wrong things.  Why do I do that?  What will it take to get me back on track?  It can’t be that I don’t get to eat what I want, because if I do what I am supposed to the plan allow me to have a full free day once a week.  Isn’t that enough?  It comes down to the basic.  If I want a new me I need to change from the old ways. 

My goal for the week is to get back to eating right, in the right amounts, at the right times.  And do the right exercising, then we will see how the scale reads next Sunday.

Did run the mile in 10:28.

Wednesday April 25

Today I was again on the road with work and out early.  I am still finding that when I travel I don’t do real well.  I come by my favorite spots and I make a stop.  Not sure if that really bugs me or not.  I really do like the food or snack I get at these places, but I don’t eat right.  What does make me feel better is I don’t feel guilt anymore when I have a moment or meal that is not the right foods.  I know deep down, I will stay on track again, and that the moment is not a straight shot down the road to weight gain because I will quite trying.

Bkfst: Strawberry protein shake.  Mid mr snk:  Blueberry Fritter, and latte.  Lunch:  Chicken Crispers from Chili’s Restaurant.  Aft snk: Missed on the road.  Dinner: 2 eggs, 3 pieces of toast.  Ev Snk Ice cream 2 scoops.  Lots of water

Sunday April 22

Last week was way too many free days.  It is suprising I even dropped a pound.  And weekends are still tough for me to follow a eating right day. 

Bkfst: grapenuts.  Mid snk missed at church.  Lunch: Culvers hamburger and fries.  Mid aft snk:  popcorn and movie during the heavy rain.  Diner: Ham sandwich.  Ev snk: chocolate moose protein drink, very good.  During day also had 3 hersey kisses, and a few wheat thins.  Lots of water. 

No exercise.  raining.  and lazy.

Wednesday April 18.

I am like I believe most people.  Today I was under the normal stresses of a busy and important day at work.  Eating while planning and reviewing my meetings happened.  Whatever was available I ate.  In the looking back from the next morning I will call that my FREE Day, but it was not intented to be when it started.  Also, as I am going through this process I am not feeling bad like I would have during past diets.  In the past it would have upset me and I would probably have given up.  With the new right way of doing my fitness it was just a bump in the road.

Free day for food.

No exercise.

Monday April 16

Bkfst: 2 eggs grapenuts, Mid morn snk: missed.  Lunch lasagna, 2 piesces bread (at a meeting).  Mid snk.  Ham sandwich.  Diner, 2 ham sandwich, and 1/4 subway chicken sub(leftover from Sunday).  Ev snk: several wheat thins.  Lots of water.  Not a very good day for eating right.  Out of Town for the day on business.  Should have had protein bars available for snacks as I was driving.

Ex.  Baseball game.

Sunday April 15

Free Day:  A free day is s day I don’t watch what I eat, or if I work out.  I may watch it but I don’t have too.  I have one of these a week.

Bkfst:  grapenuts.  Mid snk: missed at church.  Lunch: Subway, 1/2 steak sub on wheat, 2 cookies.  Mid aft:  Cold Stone Creamery split with my 13 yr old.  (this was treat as we all went to the track to get our times in the mile.  I ran it in 10:22, down from 12:35 in the fall).  Diner:  Pizza from Papa Murphy’s the Mediterranean.  Ev Snk:  5 cookies and small glass of Milk.  Remember this was my free day.  I did go a little further than I would normally, but no guilt.  Monday we are back to eating right.

Ex:   Free day, but did run the mile 10:22 and walked a mile.

Tuesday April 10

Bkfst: 2 eggs, grapenuts.  Mid morn snk: yogurt, cottage cheese, banana.  Lunch, split a fahita and chips from Poncho’s.  Aft Snk.  Yogurt and grapes.  Diner, 3 pieces of pan fried fish (bass), lowfat cheesy potatoes, peas, slice of healthy cheescake covered with blackberries.  Ev snk: Orange protien drink(taste very much like an Orange Julius) Lots of water.

Ex 20 min treadmill, baseball practice, little basketball in gym with my 16yr old 30min

Good day.  went well as we actually planned the day and prepared the snacks ahead of time.  Scale smiled on me as a result.  Back to pre Easter weight, and looking for a 3 pound loss for the week.

Monday April 9

Bkfst:  2 eggs grapenutes, Mid mornsnk: Missed.  Lunch: Apple.  Mid Aft snk: yogurt, cottage cheese, triscuits several, slice of apple pie from Easter.  Diner: 2 slices pizza at hockey banquet. 1/2 turkey sandwich.  Ev snack: healthy cheese cake with blackberry’s, blackberry protein shake.  lots of water.  All in all a mixed up day.  Very busy and did not plan for meals.  Was hungry, and ate what I could find.  Not good. 

Ex.  20min treadmill, baseball practice.

Felt good to get back into routine, but did not plan meals.  Still  not the full swing as kids had no school.

Sunday April 8, Easter.

Today was a very good day.  Oh, not the best for watching what I eat, but celebrating the rising of Christ is always a great day.

Bkfst: Orange protein drink.  Mid morn sk, missed.  Lunch: Ham, cheesey potatotes, corn, buns, salad, pie. (and seconds).  Aft snk, leftovers.  Diner: more pie.  Ev Snk Missed as I was too full.  Drank lots of water. 

Remember, no guilt.  Life and holidays happen.  Watch and decrease from what you would have had in the past, but enjoy.  You will get back at it the next day.

Ex:  20 tread mill before we went to relatives house in the metro.

Wednesday April 4

On the road to ND for work.  Being on the road I was not prepared for, and I need to plan the next time.

 Bkfst:  2 eggs toast, coffee.  Mid snk, missed.  Lunch: salad, pasta, chicken french bread.  Mid snk, pretzel from pretzel stand in Bismark, left over cheese cake(the healthy kind).  Diner:  Full Chinese chicken salad from Applebees, and parts of my guests appetizer sampler platter.  Ev snk.  missed.   Not nearly enough water.
